BBT - Most Underrated Bourbons

This week the crew discusses their most underrated bourbon and whiskeys. We decided underrated was something most people are overlooking for a multitude of reasons, proof, price, or unknown.

The crew sits down and discusses the bottles they believe are the most overrated. After some discussion, we decided overrated meant too much hype for how the bottle tasted or the value of it. 

BBT - Lawrenceburg Bourbon Company

Scott and the crew reviews two new releases from the Lawrenceburg Bourbon Company. We tasted and discussed their first barrel strength bourbon and the 10 X 10 Rye. Both bottles unique in their own right. The 10 x 10 is 100% rye which really adds to the dynamic.

Scott, the Brock's and Jared taste through and review the 5 recent Starlight distillery French Oak Toasted Bourbons. These five bottles came from barrels that the oak came from one of five regions of France.

Ky Rhubarb/Watermelon Crawl

1/4 oz Watermelon pucker, 1/4 oz raspberry pucker, 2-3 dashes cranberry bitters, 1 oz apple rye (Good Times), 1 1/2 oz bourbon, top w/ ginger ale.  

Hotel Tango Bourbon S'more

1/2 oz chocolate liqueur, 1 oz Smallow (Hotel Tango), 1 oz Hotel Tango Bourbon, top with a toasted marshmallow

Scott and the crew review some cocktails Barbara created a for summer, to take your bourbon game to the next level. The Kentucky Down Under and Kentucky Snickerdoodle will definitely need to be in your summer rotation. 

KY Down Under 

1/2 oz Watermelon Pucker, 1 oz Pineapple Fanta or Juice, 2 oz Bourbon, Top off with ginger ale/beer

KY Snickerdoodle

1 oz Amburana or Cigar batch bourbon, 1/4 oz French Vanilla syrup, top off w/ Cream Soda

Scott, Carl, John and Kofi, all review a single barrel pick of Peerless that is now available at John O's in E-Town. This was John's first barrel pick, so we discussed what it was like along with the taste on the bottle.
