The crew discusses the MGP 10 Year release. MGP Chapter One: Out of the Shadows is a 10-year-old, 111-proof straight bourbon whiskey priced at a suggested retail price of $69.99.

Overview & Background

• First Namesake Release: Produced by MGP Ingredients in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, this marks the historic distillery's very first flagship consumer brand under its own name after decades of distilling for other famous labels.

• Mash Bill: Uses MGP’s signature high-rye LBSV recipe consisting of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley.

• Aging: Aged for a full decade inside the historic Rickhouse G, a celebrated brick warehouse built in 1936.

• Availability: Rolling out nationwide in fall 2026

The crew reviews the newest release from Bib and Tucker their 8 Year Bottled in Bond. This bottle is James Joseph's first release and is made of a distinctive mashbill; this Tennessee high-rye mash bill provides added spice, structure and complexity. Charcoal mellowed through the Lincoln County Process for smoothness and depth. It's released at the price of $64.99.

The crew discusses Jack Daniel Distillery has announced the nationwide U.S. release of Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt Whiskey, a limited expression that was previously available exclusively in select duty-free retail locations around the world. 

 

The release arrives as American Single Malt becomes an officially recognized whiskey category, marking the first new official whiskey category recognized by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) in more than 50 years. Made with 100% malted barley and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks, the whiskey offers notes of dark chocolate, nuts, berries and a subtle sweetness. 

 

Available nationwide for a limited time and in limited quantities, the 90-proof whiskey comes in a 1-liter bottle for a suggested retail price of $74.99. 

The crew reviews the Larrikin Single Barrel Rye Release this 9 year 64R/30C/6MB mashbill was hand selected and comes in at 122.5 proof. Greg the owner is doing great things and his juice is worth the squeeze.

The crew reviews Green River's newest release the Toasted Double Oak. This bottle is comprised of:

• Age: 8 years old, plus an additional 6 months in a secondary finish

• Mashbill: 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley

• Proof: 115.1 (57.55% ABV)

• Secondary Barrel: Finished in a new American oak barrel with a medium toast and light char from Independent Stave Company

The crew reviews Dancing Goat Distillery, two inaugural whiskey expressions of Stillman's Sonder whiskey, which represent 

three generations of dedication to the craft.

 

• Bourbon — aged in both Andean and American Oak barrels with texture and concentration pushed through several double oaked components. Barrels were spoon proofed at times with encouraged oxidation through short fills and vatting before bottling at 94 proof (47% ABV)
• American Single Malt — distilled in Indiana and aged in Wisconsin. After initial maturation, it underwent three rounds of blending, re-barreling, and finishing across a range of casks – including virgin oak, ex-bourbon, Wisconsin brandy, Cognac, and Calvados – before bottling at 96.4 proof (48.2% ABV)

Jonny and Scott review the Larrikin Australia Series are bottled at a cask strength of 104 proof (52% ABV). This 6 barrel blend that was finished into 3 unique products, will be released at this years KBF. Sugar Cane Rum, Golden Wattle and Manuka Honey all bring something we haven’t seen yet. 

The crew reviews the Jack Daniel Distillery Distillery Series Selection #17 – a limited-edition, batch-proof High Angel’s Share Straight Tennessee Whiskey pulled from the top floors of the distillery’s Coy Hill barrelhouses. This latest release is the newest expression in the brand’s experimental Distillery Series line and the first High Angel’s Share release since the 2018 expression. It will be available exclusively in Tennessee and at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop in Lynchburg.
