The crew reviews Dancing Goat Distillery, two inaugural whiskey expressions of Stillman's Sonder whiskey, which represent 

three generations of dedication to the craft.

 

• Bourbon — aged in both Andean and American Oak barrels with texture and concentration pushed through several double oaked components. Barrels were spoon proofed at times with encouraged oxidation through short fills and vatting before bottling at 94 proof (47% ABV)
• American Single Malt — distilled in Indiana and aged in Wisconsin. After initial maturation, it underwent three rounds of blending, re-barreling, and finishing across a range of casks – including virgin oak, ex-bourbon, Wisconsin brandy, Cognac, and Calvados – before bottling at 96.4 proof (48.2% ABV)

Jonny and Scott review the Larrikin Australia Series are bottled at a cask strength of 104 proof (52% ABV). This 6 barrel blend that was finished into 3 unique products, will be released at this years KBF. Sugar Cane Rum, Golden Wattle and Manuka Honey all bring something we haven’t seen yet. 

The crew reviews the Jack Daniel Distillery Distillery Series Selection #17 – a limited-edition, batch-proof High Angel’s Share Straight Tennessee Whiskey pulled from the top floors of the distillery’s Coy Hill barrelhouses. This latest release is the newest expression in the brand’s experimental Distillery Series line and the first High Angel’s Share release since the 2018 expression. It will be available exclusively in Tennessee and at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop in Lynchburg.

The crew discusses Old Commonwealth's Red Top Rye. Made with a 100% rye mash bill and bottled at 105 proof, this full-bodied rye showcases a rich and fruit-forward character. Rooted in the historic Lawrenceburg distillery.

The crew reviews and discusses Big Vat Liar it's a cask-strength, high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon released by Potter Jane Distilling Co. in Springfield, Kentucky. Created by industry veterans Denny Potter and Jane Bowie (formerly of Maker's Mark), the brand humorously admits to "lying" about never releasing sourced whiskey while waiting for their own distillate to mature. The marketing of liar, liar, pants on fire was epically fun.

The crew reviews the newest Jackson Purchase Select Batch Full Proof bottle. Brian and Scott wento the ribbon cutting of their tasting bar in the Yum Center and brought back this bottle to discuss. We hope to get out and interview Craig Beam and Terry in the near future.
