Scott takes a spin at a fall/winter cocktail. The Apple Pie Old Fashioned is a fresh take on the classic. We made ours with 1.5 ounces Apple Cider, 1 ounce homemade apple syrup and 2 ounces of rye and 2 dashes of angostura bitters.
Homemade syrup recipe
1 cup apple cider, 1 cup brown sugar, two dashes of cinnamon, bring to boil, simmer for 5-10 minutes, bring back to quick boil, add a 1 teaspoon of vanilla, let cool then jar and enjoy
